MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

We Can Save More Lifes With Your Helping Hand.

In more than 15 years since Himalayan Social Institute was founded, the organisation has extended its work in various sectors like education, health, sanitation, hygiene as well as conservation with a vision of a world free from all forms of exploitation and discrimination where everyone has the opportunity to realize their potential. It was yet another year filled with action and learning for Himalayan Social Institute. The unprecedented challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic exacerbated the existing distresses of the vulnerable poor areas. With everyone confined to their locale areas, reaching out to these areas was much more difficult. I have immense pleasure to congratulate the entire team of Himalayan Social Institute for its relentless efforts during the Covid-19 pandemic for extending all possible help to downtrodden society, migrated laborers and particularly women and children of deprived community by providing ration, hygiene material such as masks, sanitizers, soaps & sanitary pads, medical help and paying visits at their door steps to boost the morale of sufferers. During these tough times of the pandemic our staff, partners, volunteers and most of all our funders continuously remained in touch with us and our project beneficiaries so that their learning and growth never stops. Therefore, we at Himalayan Social Institute express our sincere gratitude to all the funders namely Cipla Foundation, Federal Bank and Vardhaman Textile Ltd. As well as our staff and volunteers for their continuous support with immense understanding of the issues at ground level, their support is nonetheless is like a blessing to the vulnerable communities. We would also like to convey our sincere thanks to our advisors and partners for their guidance in the projects and organizational growth. I am confident that in the coming year we shall achieve our predetermined targets and will be able to extend our programmes to other regions of North India particular in the field of environment, save water and women empowerment.
